IAHI, the Owner's Association, represents the interests of nearly 3,000 owners and operators of InterContinental Hotels Group hotel brands. SolTech worked closely with the IAHI to re-launch several aspects of their web facing membership programs.
The SolTech Approach was used to determine IAHI's initial project needs through the discovery and definition phases. SolTech offered several layout options and turned to key stakeholders to weigh in on the decision for the design of the site.
Following client consultations and requirements analysis, SolTech architected and developed a custom two tier .NET web application. The application managed the core SQL database as a .NET Web application, as well as a DotNetNuke (DNN) frontend; both applications drew upon the same SQL data to provide member access to profile and billing functions.
The custom and off-the-shelf DNN modules are responsible for managing press releases, event logistics, outbound bulk mailings with opt-in/opt-ou, as well as click tracking of campaign mailings.
DNN also provides access control, card transactions for dues, and CMS capabilities for publishing content relevant to IAHI members.
The new platform solution produced by SolTech enabled IAHI members to keep up with news and developments related to the hotel business, as well as programs and initiatives of the IAHI. SolTech leveraged the wildly popular open source DotNetNuke content management system to construct this comprehensive, custom, member's management sub-system. The new system helps to maintain high levels of communication with members, and is particularly useful at disseminating time sensitive information relating to the management of hotel owner's investments.
