Position Description:

Reporting to the Director of Web Application Development, the .NET Developer will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications for the company’s e-retailing websites and internal applications. If you enjoy being part of an agile team of developers and work well in a fast-pasted, team-oriented environment, this could be a great role for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Develop applications using C#.NET, CE.NET, ASP.NET, Javascript, DHTML, HTML, Visual SourceSafe, SQL Server 2005/2000, SQL Server Reporting Services, Transact-SQL, and DTS
  • Develop code in a clean and consistent manner with proper supporting documentation and best practices
  • Work directly with development teams to ensure excellent code, standards and design
  • Work with the database when necessary, doing coding, stored procedures and complex join
  • Communicate effectively with team managers and co-workers
  • Maintain flexibility throughout the site design and production process

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of development experience, with a minimum of 3 years programming in the .NET environment
  • Large scale SQL transaction processing experience
  • Firm understanding of Microsoft technologies:
  • C#.NET
  • ASP.NET
  • ADO.NET
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
  • Microsoft IIS 6
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience building and maintaining a B2C commerce website desirable
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 24/7 availability for support and after hours work in order to support the availability and uptime requirements of supported systems as necessary
  • Experience with a large scale transaction based eCommerce site
  • Exposure to 3rd party web tools like Endeca, Core Metrics, and Marketing/SEO tools a plus
  • Ability to adapt well to writing own requirements if needed
