Job Title: Senior Network Administrator
Location: Alpharetta

Position Description:

The Senior Network Administrator will work with initial projects involving VoIP as well as handle the day to day network activities for the company. This exciting new role is a hybrid engineering position, combining both System Administration and Network Operations roles.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, test, install, document, implement and support of converged network and Cisco VoIP technologies
  • Architect, implement, and manage / monitor network security, sustain and enhance network security.
  •  
  • architecture both at the edge as well as internal, DMZ and extranet networks.
  • Network capacity planning, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate new and emerging security threats, products and technologies.
  • Design, test, implement, and support an enterprise WLAN solution.
  • Configure and troubleshoot voice services from endpoint to endpoint and across all in-between Cisco LAN/WAN hardware including: ISR Router/Voice Gateway, and LAN Catalyst switches.
  • Prepare and maintain up to date documentation for internal and external customers detailing configuration of deployed solutions.
  • Assists Sr. Systems Administrator on day to day operations and ongoing infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification, such as CNNA Voice/Data, CCNP, CCSP is a plus.
  • 5+ years experience with TCP/IP, security, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Cisco Switching and Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux and Windows OS.
  • Solid understanding of NAS/SAN technologies.
  • Previous experience with network load-balancing.
  • Hands-on expertise configuring and managing IDS/IPS systems.
  • +5 years experience in the information technology field and working knowledge of a broad range of information technology areas, including networking, security, and VoIP.
  • Proficiency with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity technologies.
  • Comprehensive hands-on experience with Cisco ISR routers, Catalyst switches and ASA 5500 security devices.
  • Experience administering and deploying network firewalls, such as Cisco PIX/ASA, IPS and Cisco ACLs.
  • Proficiency working with access control list (ACLs), TCP/IP. VLAN, VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), IP Multicast, routing and switching.
  • Expertise deploying network management and reporting systems and tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n and Wireless management.
