Position Description:
|
The Operations Systems Administrator provides direct and on-call support for Windows Networking, Windows Active Directory, Cisco devices, Exchange Server, MS SQL and MS Office environments. The Operations Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day end user support, including hardware support, software support and copier/printer troubleshooting. The position also requires LAN/WAN/VPN Connectivity troubleshooting and Linux Thin clients. The position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. The Operations Systems Administrator will be responsible for project planning, tracking, and communication. Strong communication skills are required for this position. Responsibilities:
|
- Configure, maintain, monitor, trouble shoot and back up Windows servers, which include MS Terminal Server, and MS Exchange
- Testing Hot fixes and Service packs to ensure compatibility with existing applications and infrastructure.
- First-level Troubleshooting (intermediate) for Terminal Server, Exchange, Windows AD, DHCP, WINS, DNS and TCP/IP protocol
- Maintain server documentation
- Work with team members to create standards
- Create build standards for computer images that support the company’s defined policies
- Work with team to develop and deploy desktop policies and maintain those policies
- Second-level troubleshooting (intermediate) for connectivity and configuration issues
- Troubleshooting Terminal Server client issues
- Assist Third party vendors with access to the system
- Monitoring Cisco network systems and ensuring that both LAN and WAN are available for maximum up time
- Monitor WAN links to ensure that bandwidth providers are meeting SLA’s
- Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity issues first-level (intermediate), and work with manager to resolve more advanced issues
- Maintain Network documentation
- Coordinate low- and high-voltage wiring contractors.
- Work with team members to create standard configurations for network equipment
- Work with team members to create network architecture

Required Qualifications:
|
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Windows/Cisco Environment
- Experience with Windows 200X, Terminal Server, and Exchange 200X
- Experience supporting servers and clients in a LAN/WAN environment
- Experience supporting HP servers, Dell servers and Desktops
- Exposure to VMware MCSE preferred
- Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Desired Knowledge/Skills: Windows/2000/2003 server related technologies, Active Directory,
- Terminal Services, Exchange 200X, DNS, DHCP, WINS TCP/IP and Network related technologies; exposure to Cisco, Telecommunication protocols and technol
