Position Description:	The Database Architect will provide oversight of the technical design of all development projects to ensure the consistency and adherence to corporate standards and development best practices. Responsibilities:	Works closely with business analysis and application owners to review and detail project requirements and design Demonstrates advanced code experience and stays abreast of emerging technology and integration into development best practices Create and maintain development standards and best practice for use by DBAs and BI Developers Create and maintain security standards and perform code reviews to insure applications are compliant before deployment Create and maintain technology roadmaps Creates and oversees technical specification documentation of development projects Oversee code and application libraries used by development staff Represent data services in review of 3rd party software and meetings with external technical development staff Database and Business Intelligence development is required where applicable based on project requirements and advanced concepts
Required Qualifications:	10+ years of overall development or DBA experience, with at least 7 years of the following: SQL Server 2000 and above Database/OS Clustering (active/passive and multimode clustering) Experience w/dimensional database design, online analytical processing, & business Intelligence tools &/or technologies Development of ETL solutions using the Microsoft technology stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) Development of very large and complex logical/physical database schemas/models Data modeling using Erwin, Red Gate, etc Hub and spoke database distribution models or similar distributed database layouts to service a global database/application
