Responsibilities:
|
- Troubleshooting, analyzing, resolving, tracking and escalating technical problems associated with the network and critical applications
- Functional areas including: server, network, facilities, security, and Windows Server support functions
- Systems verification prior to production and for maintaining updated systems documentation.
- Coordinate issue resolution with vendors when escalation to their support teams is required
- Ensure network/service availability by analyzing network performance and identifying issues before they affect service
- Assist with upgrade and implementation projects

Required Qualifications:
|
- College Degree Required
- Certifications are a plus
- 5-10 years prior experience Must be highly security conscious
- Able to work evenings or weekends, if necessary
- Experience in the design and implementation of large-scale data networks using Cisco firewalls,VPN, switch, and router technology
- Experience in OSPF/BGP/EIGRP routing protocols, LAN technologies, STP, L2 switching and redundancy designs,
- Ether Channelling, Trunking, Qos, NAT
- Solid understanding of VMWare, SAN, and other similar products
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Server Operating Systems, group policy, and deployment
- Solid understanding of encryption and security
- Possess a good understanding of LAN / WAN technologies and protocols including TCP/IP & DNS
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, and MAC OS
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting VPN client and tunnels
- Experience with server, facility, and network monitoring technologies
