The Senior Software Architect will take on responsibility as a Specialist for a search engine tool utilized to determine what essential home service providers and products are available at any address in the US. Responsibilities:
|
- Coordinates and works with Principal Architect on the overall design, architecture and development efforts
- Works with Senior Serviceability Manager to obtain new requirements
- Works with Product Support on the updating of Serviceability data
- Hands on coding will be a large part of day to day responsibility
- As needed, works independently with other members of IT to implement the overall software architecture, reporting back to other architects as necessary
- Prototypes and develops code as necessary
- May manage and lead the technical work of a small development group as part of the larger development team
- Works with Principal Architect to develop and maintain standards as part of the development process
- Reviews code of other developers to ensure they are compliant with standards
- Participates in reviewing other architecture components as part of cross team architectural reviews

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university preferably in a engineering /technical area
- A solid track record of accomplishments in development preferred, including demonstrated programming, troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience with data processing involving US Addresses a plus
- Experience manipulating large data sets a plus
- At least 7 years of total development experience
- At least 5 years experience with the following required: Java J2SE, SQL, Object-oriented design, source control, XML, Ant, Web Services ( implemented preferably in Java ie Axis, Axis2, CXF) UNIX/Linux, Windows
Desired Qualifications
- Java J2EE including Generics and Annotations, JBoss App Server, Oracle, Hibernate, Seam, JSF (or JSP), RichFaces (or other Faces implementation), Mule or other ESB technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple /projects tasks with stringent schedules
