Position Description:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work directly with the business analysts and technical teams serving as a liaison between the Business Project Management Team and IT Development Team. Java development experience is highly preferred in this role, as this is a mix of a technical analyst with business side skills. The ideal candidate will have high visibility and extensive interaction with many cross-functional teams across the organization. Required Qualifications:
|
- Ability to quickly learn and understand core business processes, and how they translate directly to technology solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate proposed technical solutions to business users, document technical specifications and process changes resulting from the requirements
- Possess technical skills and competency to develop and implement technical solutions to user requirements
- Team player with at least 5 years of experience leading efforts that involve detailed technical analysis of business requirements
- Experience with a range of IT-centric projects including web technologies, databases, and networking systems
- At least 5 years of experience supporting complex business applications
- Development experience in and technical knowledge of J2EE, Java, Glassfish, Tomcat, Hibernate, Oracle Database, PL/SQL
- Extensive SDLC experience, in a variety of environments, and utilizing a number of methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in business process analysis and system design
- Ability to write user documentation and other technical manuals or specifications
- Solid knowledge of a variety of network platforms, server platforms, and operating systems
- Ability to interact and communicate with any level of management and/or user community effectively
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from users, vendors, and technical teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Visio
- Superior meeting facilitation skills
