The Senior Software Architect will drive the long term software architectural and technology roadmap through decision making of chief technology and design decisions. Additionally, the Senior Architect will lead a small team of implementation focused developers. The ideal candidate will have enterprise experience, with the ability to bring an architecture perspective across many different areas. Responsibilities:
|
- Drive architecture and technology planning and solutions in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to defining the strategic direction for the business based upon a clear understanding of customer requirements and industry capabilities
- Ensure the business leaders are clearly aware of technology industry trends, and current execution against these trends
- Assist in defining development solutions
- Notify BA of conflicts in requirements and real world implementation
- Create design documents
- Support the creation and modification of the development process
- Continuously identify opportunities for improved efficiencies
- Unit test code
- Review business requirements with customer IT group to validate implementation solution and gather technical details needed to complete tasks
- Raise relevant topics for staff level discussion and resolution
- Coordinate architecture and planning related activities across IT groups
- Closely interact with a business team as requirements are developed and documented

Required Qualifications:
|
- Minimum 7+ years experience in applications programming and sound software development processes
- Bachelor's degree in CIS or MIS; MOT preferred or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years software architecture experience
- Experience in navigating cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and understand key issues quickly
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
