The Lead Developer, Applications Development and Integration will lead application development functions and global deployment on complex multi-platform software systems within schedule, cost and quality requirements. Responsibilities:
|
- Directly managing a team of 15-30 software engineering resources (FTE and contract)
- Direct and oversee the development and deployment of significant and highly complex contract center projects
- Establish and maintain relationships with business partner management
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the business partner functions and objectives
- Define ways to use technology to reduce costs and improve productivity to include implementation of new software, new modules, applications upgrades, customizations, enhancements and re-engineering of systems
- Direct, monitor and mentor on methodology, tools, templates standards, policies and procedures
- Plan, organize, control and lead subordinate functions within established schedules, budgetary and manpower plans
- Establish goals, performance standards and operating procedures for assigned functions
- Participate in creation of department staffing and capital budgets
- Coach and develop team members; hire, assess, discipline, terminate, document performance, recommend salary and classification changes
- Act as an advisor to subordinate managers or staff to help meet established schedules and/or resolve technical or operational problems
- Utilize a mix of off-shore and on-shore development organizations to deliver efficient and quality software applications
- Responsible for the overall ownership and delivery of the following: detailed and accurate software development estimates, unit and integration testing, code coverage techniques and thresholds, continuous integration best practices, code review process, detailed software design documents, coding and technology standards, high performing and performance tested software

Required Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
- 10+ years progressive IT experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies and processes
- Demonstrated experience with constructing and delivering high-transaction consumer facing E-commerce applications (B2C)
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from inception through implementation
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining complex technical information to business partners, vendors, senior management and staff
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing people
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in applications and architectures
- Strong technical knowledge of computer languages (including database management systems), applications, operating systems, terminology, communications, networks and hardware capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of system integration issues between diverse platforms
- Demonstrated Off-Shore development experience a plus
- Demonstrated experience with JSF is STRONGLY recommended Required Technologies
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL
- Application Servers/Servlet Containers: Resin, WebSphere, JBoss, WebLogic
- Java Technologies/Frameworks: Spring loC/MVC, Struts, JSF, J2EE/JEE, JSP, Hibernate
- Rich Application Technology: JavaScript, GWT, AJAX, Ext JS, Ext GWT, JSON-RPC
